Jason is a 17-year veteran of the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office. He's been assigned to the Traffic Unit as a motor officer for the last ten years. During that time, he has conducted tens of thousands of traffic enforcement stops and has over 600 hours of collision-specific investigation training. Jason has investigated many fatal and serious injury collisions. He is also a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) and has made numerous arrests for DUI (both for alcohol and drug-related). He is the most senior motor officer in the Sheriff's Office.

Jason is also a writer. He was a contributing author to American Cop Magazine for three years. He covered traffic-related topics as well as social media. He currently contributes to PoliceOne.com (covering traffic and finance-related topics) and UniformStories.com (relating the humorous side of law enforcement). He is also the creator of MotorCopBlog.com and co-hosts a podcast. Jason is an accomplished speaker, Toastmaster, and Academy instructor.

Jason's focus for his upcoming website, TheMotorcopMindset.com, is on officer wellness/safety both on-duty and off-duty. Jason is the author of the soon-to-be-released book, Badges and Budgets. After Jason and his wife paid off nearly $78,000 in debt on a just his income, he pursued an additional career as a financial coach. He has spent the last three years building his financial coaching business to help other first responders realize their potential and extricate themselves from what he calls the Overtime Cycle.

Jason consistently delivers high-quality, valuable content with a great sense of humor. His audiences are both entertained and educated.

Ms. Miller received her law degree in 1997. Upon graduation, she was a judicial clerk at the Mississippi Court of Appeals. Ms. Miller then joined the Hinds County District Attorney‵s Office as an assistant district attorney handling the prosecution of sex crimes, child abuse, and domestic violence. In August 2001, Ms. Miller joined the Mississippi Attorney General‵s Office in the Public Integrity Division as a special assistant attorney general handling the prosecution of vulnerable adult cases statewide. In August 2006, she became the state's Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor assisting law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in all impaired driving issues. Ms. Miller is an instructor for the Basic Recruit Class and the MS Highway Safety Patrol Cadet Class at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy in Rankin County. She is also a speaker/instructor for the Mississippi Judicial College. In addition, she is a member of the Hinds County Bar Association, and has been on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Prosecutor's Association. Ms. Miller is licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Florida
